Now that your articles are imported to Lingpad, it's time to translate the same and export it back to your Front platform. Let's get to the step-by-step process:
Process to Translate and Export Content to Front
1. Go to the Translate tab from your Lingpad X Front KB project.
2. select the desired categories and articles along with languages for localization.
3. Next, click on the Translate button at the top right corner. This will open a popup, allowing you to select the status of your content translation from Translated or Approved.
Note: Select the Translated status when you manually want to approve the AI-translated content before exporting it back to Front. You can even
add a translator or proofreader to review and approve the same.
Select the Approved status when you need the approved AI translation ready to push to your support platform.
Note: When the translation process commences, our system will first use Translation Memories (TMs) to translate segments with a 100% match. It'll also check the Glossary for approved translations and then use AI to translate the untranslated segments.
See this article on how to add TM and Glossary.
4. If you have selected Translated status, navigate to the Languages tab and open a respective language. To approve the content with translated status, you can either invite external translators or proofreaders, or review and approve the same yourself.
5. Open the articles you have translated and make necessary changes or corrections in the target text from the editor. Once satisfied, approve all the content by opening the check mark icon and selecting Change All to Approved.
Note: Our system does not translate URLs in articles unless you have added a TM or glossary for them. You need to manually approve those for successful export.
6. Similarly, approve the translation of the necessary articles for the required languages. Once approved, the progress bar will turn green. If the articles are not 100% approved, our system won't be able to export content back to Front. Also, approve the translation for category names.
7. Next, open the Push tab from the side panel and select the required articles and languages you want to export. By clicking on the Push button, Lingpad will start exporting your translated content.
Note: When you export an article, it'll be pushed as a draft to Front if no article has already been created for the target language. Even if it were fetched with published or live status for the source language, the manual push would export the articles in the draft, and you would have to publish them individually.
