How to Import Front Knowledge Base Articles to Your Lingpad Project

Create the Front Knowledge Base translation project helps streamline the management of your help center localization. To begin the process, first you need to import categories and articles to Lingpad and store them to Cabinet.

How to Import Your Front Knowledge Base Articles to Lingpad

1. Open your Lingpad X Front KB translation project by clicking on View Project.

2. Go into the pull tab from the side panel and click the Pull Now button to start fetching all the categories and articles in your Front Help Center.

3. Select the desired categories and articles you want to translate and click on the Pull button to store them in the cabinet. You can also use the search button to find and select articles. Click on the Sync Content button to sync newly added articles.

4. Check all the pulled content in the Languages and Cabinet tabs.

Note: If you add more languages to your Front Knowledge Base, you need to add them using the Add Language(s) button from the Languages tab in Lingpad.

5. Add the translation memory at the project or the organization level before moving to translation. You can use the glossary added at the organization level for the projects created, or add new ones for the added project languages. See this article on how to add TM and glossary.

Note: Once you have imported all the desired articles to Cabinet, you can move to the translate step and push the translated content back to Front.
