How to Create a Freshchat Translation Integration Project on Lingpad

Now that you have downloaded the Lingpad app for Freshchat, let's get to know how you can create a project for translation of your Freshchat live chats.

How to Integrate Freshchat Live Chat with Lingpad

1. After installing the Lingpad app, login or sign up for a Lingpad account from the Lingpad website.

2. From your home screen, click on the (+) icon from the Messaging card.

3. This will open a side panel from where you can select a space or add a new one, enter a project title, and select Freshchat for integration.

Note: Spaces are a collection of projects. They streamline the accessibility and management of different projects you create within Lingpad.

4. Next, add your Freshchat API key, enter subdomain details, and click Connect.

Note: You can find your unique Freshchat API key and subdomain (chat URL) by going to Settings > Admin Settings > search & open API Settings. You'll asked to authenticate that you are not a robot. Once you have done the authentication, you can see your API Key and your chat URL that can be used as subdomain. Copy only the subdomain part of the URL.

Notes
Also, do note that the Freshdesk's API key and subdomain won't work for the Freshchat. You'll need generete and add Freshchat's API key and subdomain (chat URL) to create a project.

5. When you click connect, the Lingpad app is successfully integrated, and the Freshchat live chat translation project is created.

6. Open your project by clicking on View Project. Navigate to Agent permission from the side panel and allow access to your agents to use the Lingpad app. Without assigning the access, your agents won't be able to access the Lingpad app for translation.

After creating a successful integration project, next is to understand how Lingpad's AI translation will work in the Freshchat platform.
