Set Up Lingpad App For Freshdesk Support For Efficient Multilingual Customer Service

Freshdesk Support Integration Project Understanding on Lingpad - for Admins

Lingpad App for Freshdesk is equipped with extensive features to make your customer-service journey seamless, efficient, and effortless. In this article, you will learn about your Freshdesk Support project settings.  

Tip: If Lingpad doesn't show up in the Apps section, click Refresh. If Lingpad doesn't load even after Refresh, please ensure that third-party cookies are allowed in your browser's settings.

Head to your Freshdesk Support project and click on the Settings tab to set Agent Permission, Translation Method and Domain Details.

Agent Permission 

Every Agent on the selected Freshdesk subdomain will come up in the Agent Permission tab. Select which agents you want to grant Lingpad App access to and add their default language - their native language or the language they wish to use Lingpad App with. Agents who receive access will be able to see the Lingpad App on Freshdesk and order translations.

Note: All Admins of the selected Freshdesk subdomain will have access to the Lingpad App by default.

Filter and Sort

Option to Filter and Sort users based on their:
  1. Default Language - filter users who have a particular language set as their default language
  2. Access - with or without Lingpad App access
  3. Role - Admin or Agent
    Filter users based on default language
Furthermore, you can also sort agents in ascending or descending alphabetical order.

Translation Method

In the Translation Method tab, you can set your preferred translation method. You can choose from:
  1. AI-powered Translation
  2. Human Translation
Based on the selection you make here, the agents can order translations from Lingpad App on Freshdesk. 
Preferred Translation Method
Note: Ensure you select one of these options before you start using Lingpad App on Freshdesk. Without setting a preferred translation method on Lingpad, your agents will not be able to place a translation order on Lingpad App on Freshdesk. 

Domain Details

If the connection between Freshdesk and Lingpad is broken, head to the Domain Details tab and click Reconnect and voila, your Lingpad and Freshdesk integration will be reconfigured successfully!

Note: The Reconnect button under the Domain Details tab will be enabled only when the connection between Freshdesk and Lingpad is broken.
