How to Use Lingpad app for AI Translation in Intercom Inbox
Once you create a project, the Lingpad app will be installed on your Intercom Inbox. Here are the next steps for AI-powered translation of your customer support conversation:
1. Log in to your Intercom Inbox and open any multilingual chat with a customer.
Tip: Ensure that the automation settings are turned on for Automatic Translation, Subject Line Translation, and Bot Translation from your Intercom project on Lingpad.
Note: When Bot Translation is enabled, Lingpad instantly translates customer messages into your operator's language. When Bot Translation is disabled, translation begins only after a human agent is assigned and the language is identified.
2. You'll see the Translation By Lingpad app widget in the sidebar. Make sure that the automatic translation is enabled from the app's sidebar to get the translation of your inbound tickets.
3. The Lingpad app will detect the language of the conversation and translate the customer message to the operator's default language. If the Bot Translation is off, the translation will begin only after the human agent is assigned.
4. Once you receive the translation of your customer messages, you can write the reply in your default/native language starting with '!' (Exclamation Mark) in the Note.
5. Lingpad will translate your response and send the message in the customer's language in real-time.
Note: The response is sent under the sender's name if no agent is assigned to the ticket. If an agent is assigned to the ticket, the response is sent under the agent's name, not the sender's.
6. To preview your response's translated version before sending, start your reply with '!!' in the note. You'll receive the translated version in the note. Copy the translation and make changes to hide sensitive information before sending it to customers through email reply.
